WELCOME

Welcome to our upcoming workshop, "Microstructure by the Lake”. This in-person workshop intends to be a hub for research groups in the Lemanic area and their close international collaborators to push the limits of microstructure MRI brain research. The primary objective is to identify convergent and complementary expertise to address research challenges that require a collective approach and a fusion of competencies. The scientific program has been structured into several sessions, including oral presentations, in-depth poster discussions, and focused round-table discussions. Several topics will be covered, from microstructure models of white and grey matter tissue, Monte Carlo simulations in realistic substrates and histological validation to quantitative MRI, multi-modal techniques, spherical deconvolution, and fibre tracking. The sessions are organised to promote networking and interaction between trainees and established researchers and to provide a space to showcase the latest findings.
